I have had a really difficult time when travelling to Istanbul by train - getting off I have to fling myself into Mr K's arms and then getting back on need a hefty push up from the rear. Awkward and embarassing...

The road from VT to Nova Zagora was a really easy drive but the VT Stara Zagora road I can imagine being closed in awful weather as it is full of hairpin bends. I think the trucks are usually directed onto the VT/NZagora road anyway. I will bear it in mind and maybe not book hotel in VT but play it ...

Our 22 year old Lada is pretty good in snowy conditions! I shall tell my daughter to go ahead and book flight - we plan on spending 2 nights in VT and one in Plovdiv - a flying visit.
