On topic it would appear that there are no alternatives to the wood burner unless you have a lot of money and most people can't afford ...

Thanks Moscow Wolf, it all makes sense in theory so if we get any visitors who are handy with electronics I will rope them in, (I know my son could sort it if we had the pleasure of his company) I think Jack could probably do it when he eventually joins the land of the living, he is good with electr...

My husband stopped smoking in August with the help of Tabex, I think he has done really well as he was smoking a lot. Oddly since he stopped I have cut down my smoking by half. I don't intend to stop altogether as I know I would put on a couple of stone and besides I enjoy a smoke. Well done to you ...

I typed in the network name and password and voila! the twenty two free books I had downloaded earlier from ...

Brit_trip, I had a laugh at that but Jack was not amused :( I might even send for the kit if it works without Wi Fi.
Back on topic we are actually venturing out to a bar/restaurant that Jack thinks has Wi Fi so we will see. Pat.

Thanks Moscow Wolf, the link does look like it would work with the Homebox but like you say it would need someone who is familiar with these things (by the way what makes you think I know how to use a remote control?) only kidding. I will let you know how we get on but as things are at the mo Jack i...

Hi Nikki, that sounds right, we will have to see where we can get a signal next time we go into town. I know what you mean as I download a lot of books onto mine when the wireless is turned off then later on I remember to turn it on and like you say it takes only seconds for them to transfer onto th...
