Traffic noise

Hello, On my recent visit to the lovely and usually quiet village of Stefan Stambolovo I was quite shocked at the massive increase in traffic through the village. Rocker, would you be kind enough to elaborate and give reasons for your advice to 'stay clear' of the Polski Trumbesh region.

I have a property in this region and would therefore be really interested without being at all defensive!

SOS.... I have a rather large and ugly log-fired central heating boiler that I am unable to keep lit for longer than around 3 hours, no matter what I do. Luckily my home is only a holiday home, otherwise it would be twilight shifts on a rota-basis to fill the damned thing through the night.... There...

Is it just me or does anyone else find the prices in Metro not that much better than in the supermarkets once the tax has been added?

I do think that the choice and shopping experience is excellent however!

Hi farnhamfancy, Hostel Mostel is reputedly the creme de la creme of hostels, it is very central and prices start at 13 euro per person, including breakfast, spaghetti in the evening and a beer...... They also have private rooms if the whole sharing a room thing isn't your thing!! Regards Luc

Kempa, You mentioned that you managed to find tahini in Bulgaria, may I ask where?? I am a vegetarian that tries as much as possible to avoid dairy, something that is virtually impossible to do when I visit Bulgaria! I also never have enough spare luggage space to be able to bring over a bag/tin of ...

Oh yes it really is the Bulgarian shade of orange that I find unpalatable too, we will however plumb for the Dvoretsa based on the positive reviews! As I mentioned earlier, we plan to visit in August however I imagine winter in Velingrad is the time when the natural hot springs really come into thei...

Calling all Velingrad experts..... I have been deliberating for weeks now over which Velingrad hotel to book for my forthcoming trip in August. The only thing that has prevented me from using the Dvoretsa I must say is the bedrooms, they look so drab on the website! Are they any better in the flesh?...
