We have been with ADAC for about 4 years, and when we moved here to Bulgaria i phoned them and they said no problem, all documentation from them now comes here.

Never heard of any negatives of them, brill. :D

Also take the compulsory car kit, high vis, warning triangle, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, spare bulb kit, and for France you need a breatherlyzer kit which you can buy in halfords

do you intend the car to be in BG permenant, if so take it to kat and put it on bulgarian plates, then get enjoy cheap insuranc, tax etc.

some uk insurance companies give a timescale of cover whilst driving abroad so best to check before you depart, also don,t forget to buy Vignettes, for Austria, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria. The forum sites used to be welcoming and full of valuable advise, but these days users join groups about Bulgaria on facebook, as they can block the keyboard warriors at anytime, but I still think this site is still good and hopefully flourish in the future.
