MW, the 24 hour vet clinic in Varna up from Chatalga probably has the highest cost for spaying. It depends on the size of the animal as to cost for anasthesia alone. I paid 210 for my much loved female Golden retriever weighing around 30kg last year. This year I had my male Goldie castrated and that...

Hi Brian, That is very interesting and we would definitely try the Romanian pellets, as I have heard they are much purer and more energy efficient. Don't know anyone else who has this system near me, so if there are people out there I hope they will respond, as 20 ton is a bit much for just one hous...

Hi, We live in the Varna area and we have had our 25kw Dakon Dor pellet boiler running over the last 2 winters in our 2 storey 170m2 house and 10 radiators (2 of which are in bigger rooms and have power fans). The pellet burner heats the rads, but I think you could have a water boiler installed as w...

Hi, Think BulldogGeorge is probably right, as it was a blown fitting and funnily enough we had a water cut off very recently and the taps were hissing and spluttering with air in the system. There was low pressure, then no pressure and suddenly the pressure came on again very high and you could hear...

Thank you all for the kind words and thoughts. It really helps to know neighbouring Provadites would lend a hand if needed. We are off to Provadia soon to get bits to get the valve isoated, as that is priority to get our water back on. Apparently the fitting has sheared in the wall, Malc will be bes...

Nightmare flood. Cheap fittings and plumbing methods

Well, my husband woke at 2am this morning for the loo and he thought he heard running water. Nightmare!! We had a water fountain gushing out the fitting in the wall where our boiler and central heating feed is downstairs. The thread had burst out the fitting and the whole thing was hanging out the w...

Brian and Marie, So sorry about your burglary and that they also took items with sentimental value. It is not a nice thing to happen to anyone and there have been a couple of break ins in our village lately to our Bulgarian neighbour's new build and a Brit's house, which is worrying. It is hard to b...

I love making loads of different Indian dishes; rogan josh, madras, korma and tikka masala. In fact I just love cooking and one thing about Bulgaria is we can't get ready made food, but its a blessing as everything is home made and tasty. We missed our favorite chinese curry sauce to go with chicken...
