We had to do this for our school recently as our accountant advised us the same. As I understand it, it's for companies who employ staff directly as you hold there bank details etc. Our accountant did this for us so im afraid I don't have any further advice on this.

I agree with owain who posted earlier, www.imot.bg is a good place to advertise to Bulgarians, there site is partly in English in places and you can advertise for free on there.

I was in a similar situation a few months ago, as was one of the teachers at the school. To get your residency is relatively easy, especially as you have a company and there are several posts about it on here. Once you have your residency, your wife then has to apply for a D Visa in her home country...
