Scot is right, it's per teaching hour so 40 contact hours a week is unrealistic. Full time teachers do between 24 and 28 hours a week and earn between 1,700 to 2,000 leva a month. Credit centre didnt charge anything. I used my own notary (A student of mine) so I knew the charges werent hidden. There were some bank charges but I believe that they are standard with any bank. Anyway, I was happy :)

Visa free entry

Not sure if this is true, but there is a post (link below) which suggests that the UK aren't waiting until January to allow visa free travel in the UK, but will allow Bulgarian's 'in' from December this year...I haven't been able to verify this elsewhere.
