Me and my Bulgarian wife have a property in the Malka Arda area which is in need of fairly serious renovation, which we'd like to have done by local workers with experience of similar projects, so that the house re...

Hi, am thinking about buying a 2nd hand car in Bulgaria so I can bring back some stuff, and also to have something to drive once back in the UK. After reading this thread it seems that might not be such a good idea as a few have said it's quite expensive to buy 2nd hand cars in bulgaria. Have I got ...

Hi, her passport has her maiden name on it still...which thinking back was also an obstacle at the bank (though her visa insert has my name as her spouse), so thanks for the reminder...we'll get that sorted in Bulgaria too, rather than wait for us to slip up and have some jobsworth check-in clerk ca...

Hi, I forgot about this!

We ended up opening a new account with TSB, who translated the marriage certificate themselves without any charge to us. We'll get a translated copy next time we're in Bulgaria.

Thanks anyway.

Am i right in thinking that April falls between the winter and summer seasons for getting charter flights to bulgaria? Does anyone know of any companies to keep an eye on for late seats at the moment? I want to go (preferably to Sofia, but a cheap flight to the coast would do) at the end of April, b...
