Scott spends time in the Middle East. What is annoying is when the Immigration Officers keep choosing a new page to stamp when there is space on existing pages. I have had to point to spaces and asked them to put their stamp there before when the pages are running out as some countries issue full p...

Prices

Depends how much they need the 40 grand? :) I think that figure was an example, the actual figure would be the difference in value, certain to be more in most cases I suspect Do people think the prices out in the Bulgarian countryside would be holding their value as much as property in the French co...

Peppercorn rent

Hi All. We are wanting to rent out our Villa in the Golden Sands area on the same basis as the thread. We are looking at the moment for an agent that can assist with this. The villa is clean and tidy, is in the traditional Bulgarian style but with some modernisations. If anyone is interested or any ...

Re: prices holding

yeah, could be worse but really its only worth what someone will pay and looks like the majority of agents/vendors haven't yet realized its a buyers market and adjusted their prices accordingly. Actually it is worth what someone is willing to pay and what someone is willing to sell it for. Since I ...

solution

Think MW is right, fight fire with fire. Some of the poorer Bulgarians who would be glad of the money would do it I am sure, you are therefore providing work for the locals and solving the problem. I certainly would not turn the other cheek, although killing bees would bother me a little. Wasps on t...

Russian

You are suprised our best friends sister and family admit to us they understand Russian? To other Latvians they don't know, yes as there is strong anti-Russian feelings in that country, as indeed is the case with most former Soviet Union countries. Russians are still going to Bulgaria in numbers but...
