Accountants can not be sure if fines are going to be imposed, its not up to them, its up to the government.

I have not heard of anyone being fined in our area for late and in some cases many years late tax returns.

I do know of a case where a POA was asked for and it was not by the police but by a garage that had to do some "emergency repairs".
