Try Allianz...I recently emailed the Dobrich branch & they do various breakdown covers & also give a discount if you are insured with them as well

Have you got a rough idea of cost Scot? Sounds like a bit of an adventure and hubby & I might be up for it,would be great to see other parts of the country without having to drive too far :D

Tonyt...thanks for that info but I've just tried various dates between now & next May and can find nothing!!! :(

I do know they are flying next summer via Sofia...with a 6 hour transfer time on the way back..not good,and their prices are high too!

You'll get 8% with Alpha Bank if you are happy to tie it up for 12 months. Their progressive interest account goes from 5.5 -9% over 12 months too,these figures are for leva accounts.

Shebry, I have emailed Willie Walsh and told him that,not only has he made it VERY difficult for ex-pats and Bulgarians alike to visit Varna (and London) but that, as far as we are concerned, it is a very short-sighted decision as it will seriously affect the economic & touristic growth in this part...

Edwardo, I too have emailed BA as I am disgusted with their decision. Hubby & I have used them every time we've flown back over the last 3 years and we've always had full planes too, as have friends that fly regularly with them.They would have been the only carrier to fly direct to Gatwick next year...
