We have seen black weasel like creatures running along the tops of our garden walls at night! The locals call them 'vampire dogs', they seem to come up from the forest to scavenge food in the village!! I have seen their pelts on the walls of local retaurants!!!

Where abouts is Dolishte? Is it to the NW of Varna (15kmish away?). If it is the village I'm thinking of we are quite close by!

I saw a small news in brief article in 'The Sun' on friday I think it was. Just said he was found by the roadside with head injuries, may have mentioned a crushed skull? Poor fella, it is something that could happen anywhere whether its a vicious assault or a road accident!

If you go onto BBC website under the weather section and then go into 'countries' you can enter Bulgaria and they have all these stats for Varna and Sofia! Hope thsi helps, its unlikely to be as damp and dark as bonnie Scotland!!!!

I posted in july about a friend being turned back from Varna airport for this reason.
