I haven't got the time to do this, nor really can I be bothered, but I think if you looked at the posts on two themes you could get a good idea of what sort of numbers are moving away. If you looked at the ads for transport of furniture to BG and then to UK, or looked at the requests for information...

Did you have the new long stay photo card or the old white one or a lichna carta out of interest? I am wondering what number they were after.

Well two of the 248 have just voted. After a hard day's work getting our room ready for the election (I even cleaned the windows, my most hated task) we went up to the village just now. I am impressed by the system here, far more difficult to fake then in the UK. As someone who as been involved in l...

Our lovely volunteers from Jeruselum who were here one Febuary (warm days but minus 6 at night) thought they were going to die of cold, and when they got chillblains from putting their cold ...

Sadly can't vote for president, but if I could my vote would go to Rosen Plevneliev, our local candidate, purely to see how on earth he is going to make his promise come true, to build a four lane motorway to Gotse Delchev from Sofia! I know it is his home town but there is a little matter of a moun...

In September we got permission to rent part of the old school. Turns out this includes the room currently used for voting and there isn't enough time to change the venue to another place in the village. We are quite happy to have the room used for the election, what is one day in four years after al...

No flowers on Muslim graves in our village but note that forty days after the death you should go to the death feast. Don't have to take anything with you for that. Once the grave has it's headstone the family will tend it.
