i would like to thank everyone that came last sunday, we had a excellent day, john & karen won the scotch egg competion. the next home made competion is on 21st march, this time its apple pie, the car boot sale is also on, this wednesday the 3rd march its lamb doner kebab time again, hope to see you soon, many thanks once again gary

If you haven't been to Gary's bar recently you should come and check it out. The site of the original bar which burnt down had now been levelled and landscaped with grass. The new bar is in the main building but with seating outside round the pool.
The pool is up and running and very inviting.
Its a great place to come for a swim and maybe have a cheeseburger or steak and kidney pie, especially if you are entertaining friends or relatives.
Happy hour is from 4p to 6pm weekdays.

Hope to see you and the family there soon Hoowster. Are you any good at cooking/baking. We're still doing our monthly cooking competitions there. Next one is 25th July and its 'Lemon meringue pie'.
Its just for fun and the winner gets the trophy for a month and gets to choose what to make next.

I'm glad to see that Gary's place is up and running again after the terrible fire. As Hoowster rightly says Gary is a hard working survivor and I wish him every success.
I have not been out to the bar since well before the fire and to be honest, whenever Gary and his wife were there it was great food and service, but on other occassions there were others running it in his absence and the service/food were poor, it is quite a way off track with hungry kids to be told that they were not doing food that night!
It sounds like the place is now back to its best so I'll happily turn up and try it out again, I cannot get into the links to the website so wondered if anyone knows what is on the menu for fussy eaters like me and my eldest who don't eat meat? I had great egg, chips and beans one time and a vegetable curry another! Any help would be greatly appreciated,
