Prazniks - where and when

Postby charlieboy » Tue Jul 05, 2011 8:50 am

Found this interesting web site that gives all the Prazniks (Festivals) in the towns and villages of Bulgaria. There is no english translation but its easy enough to follow and there is a pull down list on the right for towns and you can search by dates.
We often only find out about festives after they've happened - so for those of you who are inclined to go to these rural and tradional events look on here.

That is odd, I have searched and I can't find any of our local massive festivals listed at all. Thousands of people come to Vaklinovo and Dospat but they dont' seem to be listed, even though they have some of the biggest folk and pop singers as headliners. I am always stuck for the dates for them, can anyone find them on this site? Maybe I am just being stupid.
