buying bulk bulgarian products in England

Postby battert28 » Mon Dec 28, 2009 7:21 pm

I am hoping to start selling bulgarian products in England
online, I have plenty of storage space and my bulgarian
girlfriend now lives here with me and can help.
Sounds like a great idea, but is there really much a demand for it,
I am not sure, although I have found a website selling similar products.
The website is coming on slowly but my main problem is how to source
the bulgarian products here in bulk, can I employ the services of someone to transport them for me or maybe I should make the journey myself.
I doubt there is anyone selling bulk products here.
Please if anyone can offer me any ideas or leads I would be very gratefull

many thanks

Tim Battershill

Hi Tim,

Might be an idea to tie up with one of the sellers of UK Foodstuffs in BG. I assume they drive to UK empty to collect their stock so you could work a deal with them!! Just a thought

Hi there is already two Bulgarian food shops in the UK , one in Barking, Essex and the other in Tottenham, both sell Rakia, Banitzi, Bulgarian books and newspapers, tea, coffee, cocoa, cheese, sweets, lutinitza, rose oil, calenders, wines and spirits etc you can also buy on line and delivery from as little as five pound to English mainland.
You can pick up the link to Bulgarian food from our web site.
There is also links to finding Bulgarian food any where in the world as well as free recipes for Bulgarian cuisine.

selling bg products

Postby rock_roland » Tue Dec 29, 2009 11:45 am

Hi Tim

There is an online-shop for BG products in Berlin as well and a friend of mine, Mathias, is managing it. His wife coming from Burgas is responsible for shipping and buying goods in BG. But do not expect too much, it is a hard business and at least in the beginning you can not earn the daily life.

The site is in German but you can get an impression of what it should look like.

https://www.bulgaria-shop.de/index.php?

If your wife is interested she can get in touch with Ivelina. Maybe you can do some things together to save money or try to find out the appropriate products.

Thanks for all your replies and PM's, some potential leads and I am hopeful to find a resolution, I will try to get back to all those offering assistance with transportation of goods, I guess it will come down to the cost and the convenience, it would be easiest to use someone from the South-West area as I am in Exeter.
Thanks again for all your replies

Tim
