Some were a strange breed of hopefuls who arrived in droves around 2000-2006 buying up the then overpriced house plus 2 decares of land; Now back in the UK wanting to sell for 50% less, licking their wounds and paying an accountant and lawyer €500 a year :?: :?: :?:

Come back guys its cheap as chips now....

Depends how much they are going to invest, dictates what you do with them and how much you spend.

Jokes aside
I may be wrong, but I don't think Bulgarian Firms have started to pay other firms to "Host" Investors. They are pretty adept at putting on a warm, friendly show themselves. I can see there maybe some advantages of using the services of a British couple to host other Brit investors but I'm not so sure Bulgarian Firms feel the need to do so. Also, other nationalities invest more than the British so it's a small market in the current climate.

My husband and I are intrested in hosting english investors, but after looking on google I can't find any sites that let you apply. I know you have to fit their criteria and wondered if anyone know of any such companies/sites? We live on the Black Sea Coast, and are within easy reach of varna, Bourgas, Obzor, Byala, Sunny Beach etc.

Any help would be aprreciated, thanks guys! :D

I have to assume from the limited details contained in your post that the missing word could be, 'Property' or 'Tourism' Investors, but of course, I could be wrong, but as you're on the Black Sea then, I guess it is not heavy industry investment you're looking at.

If 'hosting' means finding the Investors first then, depending on what type of Investor you're looking for, you might consider contacting the British Embassy COMMERCIAL section in Sofia. Just be careful what you ask as they've become very commercial themselves now and charge for some information that you used to get for free.

Most businessmen looking to invest in Bulgaria will go through the Embassy seeking advice and usually leave their details in the visitors book. I often used to go nosing in the Moscow one to find prospective future clients.

However, besides the small group or one man and his dog on a scouting mission most business overseas is (in my opinion), promoted through trade shows and fairs plus, specialised business conferences which are organised on a big scale all in package of transport, hotels, stands, etc.

I think it is Plovdiv and Sofia that get most of this type of trade shows.
