Getting involved with the local construction mafia might get a bit tasty. Two main issues - use of fully depreciated equipment cuts the costs of a lot of construction companies and they'll happily carry on using ancient machines wherever possible. A recapitalisation of the entire sector is necessary but as they keep on undercutting on costs no-one has the money. And the second problem is the blackomatic - labourers are cheap and flexible.

Remember we're on the doorstep of the EU, so anything you need in the UK in terms of licenses etc, you'll need here too. So CE on electrics and no import duties with the UK from 01 Jan 07.

The wise monkeys are into coke, heroin, arms, women and selling houses to gullible Brits

Hi Maccy

as far as the JCB's etc. alot of bulgarian construction companys have made alot of money over the last year and i know a few companys that are buying brand new m/c's.

I think one man and a m/c would be ok, but as in all parts of the world try mustling in on the contruction Mafia would be suicide,or you will lose all the m/c's one dark night.

I think small is good at this moment in time in bulgaria, unless ur
bulgarian.

Paul.
