British Food Supplies

Postby Toot » Sat Nov 18, 2006 12:19 pm

Thanks Lee I tried it once in Greece and it tasted foul.but I did use roasted peanuts.I shall try it again here not hopeful about peanut oil will try sunflower.
Also maybe Bulgarians do not have the money to start up businesses,.and it is very hard to set up anything here other than Real Estate.
I was amazed to see on here that there are only 2,000 British here so I can see that it is not worth setting up a Deli with food from other countries.
Well here goes with the peanut butter, next I am trying to make mincemeat for mincepies...............................

Hi
For those of you who miss those special little foodie things, you can always order your own and have them delivered to your door through
www.britishcornershop.co.uk

This is a very good website and sell just about everything including Eccles cakes that my other half is busily munching away on as i type, these are his main weakness

You might try BILA? I found some good German butter. They stock salted Lurpak, and President, the french butter.

Butter is around..but you have to hunt for it..I have found the shopping is getting better, although prices are rising.

Hi Dwaned,
We are based in Veliko Tarnovo and have a business selling British food.
No butter , sorry , but yes the lurpak is good in Billa.
Have a look at our website. You can pick up an order or we can deliver for a charge.
Hope you find something you like!!!
