can anyone tell me how many cigs am i allowed to bring back to the uk
.they are for me, much cheaper in bulgaria,,, here in uk approx six pound packet now

HMRC website says within EU if for your own use 3200, ie 16 cartons

EU law says you can take as many as you want, HMRC "recommend" 3200. At this point and over they will question and "possibly" confiscate especially if they think you are fibbing.

Beats me how the law says one thing, and HMRC have to power to do what they want. But hey,the UK is not a police state.
