My wife is Bulgarian, and we live in the south of Manchester, and she would be willing to host bulgarian evenings at our place at which everyone could practice their bulgarian language skills.
She isn't a teacher by trade, so if you're looking for structured serious lessons then this probably wouldn't be what you're looking for, but if you just fancy getting some practice with other learners - including me (i've only just started learning - I've embarrassingly relied solely on her English for communication up until recently) then it might prove useful.
Obviously any fees would be a fair bit lower than a qualified language teacher charges per session. I would have thought people could come along to one evening without paying anything, then just take it from there depending on how useful people think it will be.
We could also include some shopska salad, rakya and other bulgarian specialities to get more into the spirit (she's probably a better cook than teacher!). A good idea might be to make it Bulgarian language only, but that of course would depend on how advanced people might be already - including me!
So if anyone in the area thinks this might be a good idea then let us know and we can decide if its a goer.
