What are the issues please feeding three small
dishes into one from same sat, why will it not not or will it ?
When your looking to receive from a satellite, the further away you are the bigger the dish needed as the wider space on the dish is needed to collect the signal.
Using 3 small dishes will just receive the same weak signal. This wont mean that 3 weak signals will make 1 strong signal, you'll just have the same weak signal feeding into each of your 3 small dishes.

finally making my move over to BG in may to Kubadin and we cannot wait. I was just wondering if it is worth buying a 1.5m dish in uk (have room in my trailer) or should i get it from BG. Can anybody give any ideas of dish prices in BG aswell please many thanks

Wouldn't bother bringing your dish from the UK as 1.5M ones in BG are cheap by comparison, about 150 quid.

many thanks will check out a few more prices over here i am sure maplins do them for 99 but i think for the sake of a little expense against the extra hassle and space bringing it over BG is the better option

Hi Tats, I don't know where exactly Kubadin is located, but do you know any other Expats in your village and what size dish they use? The reason I ask is that you may not need a 1.5 metre dish in your particular spot, you might get away with a slightly smaller one or, a slightly bigger one. I've heard of folk getting a good reception on 90cm dishes it all depends on location.
Ignore any posts that say you'll need a 3 Metre dish as I don't think these folk realise just how LARGE that is. There is a chap that posts on here that requires a slightly larger dish than most of the other Expats in the surrounding area because he's in a bit of a blind spot.
I have never heard of these Maplin dishes that come in sections and when I get chance, I shall ask on the specialist Satellite TV Forums what the experts reckon to their qualities.
However, saying all of this, you're safer with a 1.5 than a 90cm or 1.2 metre dish providing you have the place to locate it. They do tend to stand out though and let nearly everyone know that a Foreigner lives in that particular house. When I install mine, I want to find out if I can spray it green or something.

Yes i have heard that you can spray the dish to blend in, i think you must use a none metallic paint to keep the signal per dish.
