2 wireless laptops from same router?

Will it or won't it work in Bulgaria? Which is the best option?

Hi again, well Marymo came back from Ireland on Saturday with a new laptop She had it working wirelessly there but we can,t get it to connect to our Specrtrum Net system here. Have used the right password given by Spectrum to access it but its telling us we cannot connect...also telling us to connect a cable which is obviousy not want we want to do with a wireless router. Any ideas from you computer whizz kids. ? Meant to say...our original laptop is working fine..hence me on here.

With my laptop if I change networks I usually have to set the network connection up again with network name and P/W.

What version of Windows has it?

Hi Tiarnan,

just try cable connection temporarily, this can " force " the new laptop to adopt the new settings of your network, then disconnect cable and try again for wireless. If that fails then get the Spectrum boys to do the settings for you.

Using a cable connection has no relevence to wireless, they use different network adaptors so there is no way that it would force the laptop to change settings.

Would need to know what version of Windoze to help more (displays on screen on startup).

Regards, David.

I would go into the network connection wizzard for connecting to a wireless network and set it up again as if you were doing it from scratch. Type in the network name (needs to be same case as you set it up with) and the password. I am assuming that the other laptop works and the router is switched on from what you said?

Cheers, David.

Woke up this morning and Marymo switched on new laptop and it connected right away to the router....she says she did nothing different to what I did but she has a smug ..".I know more than you look" on her face all morning. Anyway all seems ok...cancelled the guys coming out to do it...actually using the new one to write this.
Thanks to those of you who took the time to answer and PM me.
