We don't like them but we gotta pay them! How does it work in Bulgaria?

has anything changed regarding the tax deadlines for this year? the reason I ask is that in the past we have always filed before March but in November our accountant said we had to have everything done by end of December this year - so we sorted it whilst there

If there has been a change nobody seems to have told the Revenue Agency. They say 31 March for companies and 15 April for individuals.

Apparently, these you need to fill in two times, it goes together with the tax form.

These pages were scanned images from an original tax return form. Each page/file was over 1mb in size (I think they were more like 3mb)

I saw a copy of the return our accountant had completed for us the year before. This was green writing on white. The scanned images were in black and white and if the original was still green on white you can imagine they weren't the best definition copies.

I did download them at the time but have since changed my computer. I could try and crank the old one back up and see if they are still there but I have a feeling that I deleted them. I'd downloaded them to try and understand what was required to be included on the return in preparation for this year, rather than use them as a substitute tax return.

I think you'd be better trying to source an actual tax return.

I agree with Scott reference the tax form submission date.

I have booked flights for March '08 and intend doing my own with a little help from a Bulgarian friend. However I was of the opinion that each page of the tax form had to be stamped with the company stamp but stand to be corrected. This is what I have previously been told by my Lawyer accountant and another legal interpreter?

Hi JD1,

I've just looked a the copy I have of our 2005 tax return and our company stamp, whilst not on every page, is in 11 places.

I'd just like to add that people ought to be careful that the tax return hasn't changed from last year. Different tax acts frequently bring in new reporting requirements and this year being Bulgaria's first year in the EC might have bought in changes to the tax return format.

They're published, by year, on one of the BG gov websites and you can download them from there. Could be Min Fin or Revenue Agency. I think I posted the link in the earlier discussion.

queserasera asked:
Hi

I've been looking through past posts and found a link to download the tax return form. But I cannot get the link to work. I went directly onto the website it relates to to try and find how to download the form, it was an interesting read - but I still couldn't find the relevant page.

The link given previously was;-

www.nap.bg/useful/docs_new/GD51al1.pdf

Can anyone advise how I can get the downloaded form?

Thanks
Cheryl
