Carpets and Carpet Fitting

Postby philr68 » Thu Jan 26, 2006 7:18 am

We have now discovered a factory shop in Sliven that sells high quality carpets as we know them. They mostly manufacture for export and have a superb range.

The factory and shop is just down from Billa.

Having now bought our carpet it needs fitted.....

So...does anyone know a carpet fitter in BG that understands the concept of "Smooth Edge" and underlay?

If so please let me know.

Best regards

Phil

Hi Philr68,
I was wondering do they sell gripper and underlay in bg.If so you would have thought they would have known the concept of fitting them. The only carpet retailer i have seen is in varna near the metro.

Hi Robert,

I have not seen gripper or underlay here, I was hoping to find out if it was available.

The standard method fo fitting here seems to be gliue the carpet to the floor and use skirting to tidy the edges.

In most domestic applications this would be ok, but I want this for a recording studio and need the underlay as an extra layer to help with the accoustics.

I don't think normal underlay and gripper is what you need - it's fine for domestic fitting but a specialist soundproofing underlay stuck down with the carpet stuck to it is what i would reccommend. If you struggle for a fitter, shout me a flight and i'll help you out

Hello people,
I've read that somebody is looking for a carpet fitter.
I know boys that are specialized in doing this. One of them even speaks English. If you are interested in a carpet fitter, pm me.
regards from Varna!!!

Hi Fantasy,

Thank you for your offer.

We have resolved the issue.

Our builders have done a wonderful job of fitting the carpets. They took a little persuading at first, then when the shaking finished they just got on with it.... :)

:D Hi, yes, it is the same shop. They have downsized and moved a couple of doors down, next to METRO.
