Hi there and welcome to the site.

Shouldn't be to much of a problem to find you somewhere suitable in the mountains.

You need 5 posts before you can pm but once you can get in touch and I will do what I can to help.

I would recommend the Velingrad area.
Nice climate, beautiful scenery( Lake Batak close by too). very good spa hotels,. Access from Sofia and Plovdiv is quite good. If you like mountains you can get to Pirin and Rila National Parks easily aswell. Bansko is 1.5 hours away.

Hi only1_bettyspaghetti!

Not only do I own a couple of traditional houses in very rural villages in the Rhodope Mountains, I also work there as a mountain/nature guide and tour operator, and have been exploring the Rhodope in detail for almost 20 years, so pretty much know these mountains like the back of my hand. Indeed I am currently writing a book about the Rhodope.

If you want to send me a pm with more details about exactly what you are looking for, then I will be more than happy to advise about where you should focus your attention and about what various different villages and regions of the Rhodope are actually like.
