Hi all

I know of a great English speaking dentist in Samokov if any one is interested.

I wanted to have my teeth whitened (excuse the vanity). My dentist in the UK quoted £500, I was also given a price by a dentist in Sofia who was recommended to me of 600lev.

However, the brother of a friend of mine in Samokov is a dentist so I asked if he did it, result was I had full monty treatment done for 180lev (120lev for whitening plus 60lev for full hygiene first). Followed by having moulds made and supplying the gel for topping up at home.

Regards

Hugh

We have a great dentist in Sofia, a good scale and polish (30 leva) 45 minutes in the chair, not like the UK 15 minutes in the chair and get rid of you as fast as they can and charge £30 -40 on the NHS :smt040

Hi Banner

Please could you let me have details of the dentist in VT, just in case we get 'caught short' when we are out there? Sounds much better than mine - I am terrified going to see my dentist in Barrow!!!

i have a lot of dental work done in Elhovo.I fell over last august (to much vodka) and broke 4 front teeth, however after loads of visits to my dentist and she taking no payment at all i had a bridge fitted in total 9 teeth from the back of my mouth to the front and the cost was 630 levs.It was a long process but worth it in the end.If any one wants to see my dentist i can fully recomend her

Avoid older municipal dental hospitals - they're awful, but nearly all private dentists are excellent. Mine even has a LCD monitor so you can see what she is doing, if you're not too squeamish.

White filling... around 70 leva, crown 150. The only injection where I didn't feel the needle!
