can anyboby tell me please if there is hearing aid clinics in bulgaria, plovdiv area, also is it possible to get hearing aid batteries.

Does anyone have an idea of how much hearing aids cost here in BG? My other half is going a bit deaf and is driving me mad, I have to repeat everything to him and I wondered if it would be better to wait till we get back to the UK.

Hi Weefrankie,
To answer in order, we think it was the cat that stole my all singing and dancing Phonac model.Very small behind the ear and costing 1500leva.second time around rather than getting rid of the cat i now have a Beltone model slightly larger which cost 500leva. It has two settings.One for normal conversations and the other for surround sound blanking.Found it quite acceptable, and can even listen to tv without my wifes ears bleeding.
The audiologist is in VT sort of in a back street between the car parks by Pepys bar and the little car park with the monument.He speaks very little English,but hes a nice guy and seems to know his stuff.Il try and dig out the paperwork for his number etc,
