Life insurance cover

Postby charliechoice » Sat Mar 11, 2017 4:36 am

Good day everyone,

just a quick question having paid for life insurance cover for the last 20 years in the UK, we recently moved over to Bulgaria full time. We have kept up our payments therefor my question is are we still covered ?

Many thanks in advance.

It really depends on your policy - some say you must live in the UK, others say the EU, so you'll have to read the small print, or phone them. Or look on their website.

This will change - I'm looking at something similar at the moment and the price in the UK is roughly half of that in Bulgaria and roughly one third of an 'international' policy. You can carry on paying the original one, but if you ever had to claim you'd be scuppered. However as you have a long standing relationship with your insurer and Bulgaria is no longer the end of the world they might still keep the same premium (age amended of course). So tell them.
