I was hoping that it would be good to bring a flavour of Bulgaria into peoples home.

All that I can say is that I was not impressed, I think Turkey did better

Hi,
I found the program really disappointing and if you saw the images they presented of Plovdiv it would be the last place on earth you would want to visit. I know they have to show all sides of the story, but they could have at least shown some of the many wonderful places there are in Plovdiv as well. Speaking as someone who has been to the places in Plovdiv they featuered they are depressing and yes this does need to be highlighted, but I just cannot believe they didn't show any other parts.
Sofia you saw one church and a street and people dancing in the mountains. I thought they was utterly useless and very disappointing. There area many wonderful places in BG and nothing got a look in, what happened to the Black Sea, Veliko Tarnovo etc. Well I wont run on, but what a very dismal view of BG!

I was disappointed with the first program, it lacked the Palin magic.

Well..at least it answered the 'Newbies' incessant questions about what's it like, and is it full of Gypsies?!!!

I was appalled at the state of their horses.. I thought they looked after them.

Much as I love Turkey, and think it is far superior to Bulgaria, it is not, after all in Europe. However, it gave it a great tourist boost.

Just to add to add a little more  I have spoken to the BBC and told them what a complete and utter disappointment their program was yesterday. I also feel they have done alot of damage, as programs like this would deter people from visiting BG and when so many Bulgarians rely on tourism thats completely unacceptable. Any one share these views?
