Hence my less than charitable attitude towards the feeding of strays. I hope this launches a pogrom against the beasts. You could add any cats without bells, slaughterers of native wildlife.

Margarita and I have been informed that the dogs actually belong to one of her neighbours.

It is a terrible tragedy and our thoughts are with her family and friends.

Its hard to credit a neighbour (especially a bulgarian one) owning 8 dogs !and letting them run loose..usually country people only keep dogs if they are useful...?... What a way to go! Poor woman. Richi

How awful. We have been told that a pig was being slaughtered at the time, does anyone else know if it was caused by a feeding frenzy? It is the time of year. Truly horrific.

This is very sad and my thoughts are with her family.

I was also bitten by a neighbours dog on the calf muscle last winter. Lucky for me it was the first day I had worn my boarding trousers and socks, otherwise the injuries could have been much worse. However I was left with 3 holes in my leg.

Our other neighbours were so angry that the dog was destroyed. Sad as the owner was there when I was bitten, but the next time it could have been a child.

Wow, this is truly awful! What a horrible thing to happen. Unfortunately, being 'pack' animals by nature, when one dog dives in, the others will follow. Don't know what to say - absolutely terrible!

That's really awfull, but somehow i'm not terribly surprised. I was 'attacked' by 2 loose dogs while on a walk near my house but although snarling and snapping at my legs i managed to get away with the help of a very bright LED torch which i shined in their eyes.... now, when i go for a walk i carry a pistol, and will hapily shoot any loose dog that threatens me.
My thoughts are with friends and family of this lady... :(

This is terrible reading, my sympathies go to Margaret's family.
