This is what happened on a Spanish Island which they are sorting out by Fines for Drinking in the Roads, bad Language and at the last count 85 British Yobs being thrown out, their government has said things are much better for Families now with children.

This needs to be done in Sunny Beach by the Police and Government of that area and kick out the Yobs as above, lacking control at this time.

Nice during the day but not at night.

Thrown out as in what?... Thrown out of the city limits? Or thrown out of the country? You mention an island - Which island is this? magaluf which is being sorted out with success.

No worse than in many UK towns and cities, unfortunately. This is the culture of today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_AtWPBUOJI

Ah, thanks gordonroy43. So it's Magaluf - which is just one resort on the island of Majorca...

So this is what you must be referring to :- http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldne ... chery.html - but is it really working/will it work? Many UK authorities and police forces regularly say they are going to have a crackdown on bad behaviour/binge drinking etc etc and often it then gets quietly forgotten.

For many, particularly the young, those are the precise reasons to go there. If it's not your cup of tea, then just don't go there, just as you probably wouldn't choose to go to a youth club if you were getting on in years....

"Reality TV" including the shows covering places like Sunny Beach is not about Reality. It is about sensationalist reporting of freakish behaviour. Participants are encouraged to behave in outlandish stunts involving alcohol, drugs and group sex.

Meanwhile, real life continues. Time for my cocoa.

This gives way to No Go areas with your remarks, very wrong view I'm afraid, due to some of these Idiots in the UK puts a strain on the NHS and other services, part of the reason they are in a mess, increased attacks on the people trying to help them, you thing this is o/k ?

These should know when they have had enough drink instead of killing themselves internally.

Like other agencies in the UK the Police have had funds reduced.

There should Never be NO GO areas anywhere or its adding to gang areas.

The named island are sorting things as they have said and coming down hard on the Yobs and allow Families back at night.

The UK is fine in most places but like anywhere else you have to use common sense where to go for your safety, night time you get the Idiots who fight and criminals who Mug.

Drink is the Problem as they want to fight the world when drunk and on Drugs as per Sunny Beach and other countries like Cyprus in one area, used to be very nice at night for families but not anymore until it gets sorted out.

But in general it is a Lovely place.

I remembered this thread and wondered how relevant the various opinions expressed 7 years ago would be today?

Ross Program on Bulgaria

Postby gordonroy43 » Mon Sep 21, 2015 8:57 pm

This program last night when he went to Sofia and Provdiv shows the amount of crime and corruption there is, 40000 to 50000 Roma living in slums but some with top of the range motors, 200 million being taken from the UK with crime back to Bulgaria.

The Govenment being Corrupt and in with the Mafia plus the other group in Provdiv.

This does nothing to boast the country, even the Police are at odds with the lack of enforcement.

Shame as it should be a good country, we have not seen any of this going on.

Needs strong people to deal with these issues.

Jonathan Ross?.... Ah no - you must be referring to the program entitled "Ross Kemp on Gangs: Bulgaria.

I believe it was first broadcast in 2008.

Not sure when made

Nasty all the same and factual, needs the EU to force them to comply instead of feeding the pockets from their lump sums they get.

Corruption on a large scale.
