Hi Pearltoo. We have been over 4 times in the last 6 months or so, but aren't able to come again till next year to Batak unfortunately. Restricted by the annual leave I have. We have done a holiday swop with someone which means we get their place for a week in August, but it's on the coast. Will be coming over for 2 weeks next year though, but not sure exactly when.

Do you already have a place or are you building one?

Bit of both, Amber!
Bought a house to the north of Paz...k [!] Last November, and am hoping the builder will have completed the works when I get there at the end of April.[i.e. an inside toilet would be nice!] so keep fingers crossed for me.

Hi, I've just bought an apartment in the centre of Pazardjik. Does anybody know if there are there many English speakers around? I've been to the town many times and I like it.

Hi Jakdublin,

We have a house in the same village as Pearltoo which is approx 15 mins from Pazardzhik. We are out there again on the 6th Aug so if you are out there at the same time and would like to meet up for a chat, please send me a PM ( when you get 5 posts ) and i'll give you more details.
Regards
Brammy

Hi Brammy,
Cool. I'm actually coming over on August 7. I'll be in Pazardjik for two or three days before heading out to Sunny Beach for a week. I'd love to meet up. I'll try and rake up my five posts so I can PM you.
Jack

Hi Scot,
You had an apartment in Pazardjik or Pearltoo? What was it like selling in BG? Was it a hassle and did you make anything on the sale?

Oooh. I hope you didn't lose on it at least. I'm not looking to make anything on mine as I'm planning to keep it, but it's always nice to know if stuff you have is increasing in value.

Excuse my ignorance regarding Pearltoo. Jezzz, it's no fun being a newbie.

Hi jakdublin

Apologies for deviating from the original thread here.

Are you planning on living permanently in your apartment? If you hang on to it for a while and perhaps rent it out (if not living there permanently) then I am sure that you will make money on it in the future should you decide to sell.

I own a studio in Plovdiv and have been renting it out on (permanent) long term basis for almost 18 months now. I had it valued when I was over there recently(looking at using it as collateral against a mortgage) and according to the valuation report, the value had increased quite a bit.

Good luck

Regards

Wayne
