Thank for the welcome.

Kazz, I note that you live in Veliko Tarnovo, well an old army buddy live just 40 Kilometers north of you in a village called Ivancha. I don’t know if he and his wife know about this site so I’ll have to drop them a line.

Hi,I suppose I belong to the NEWBIES,because I just registered here.
I am bulgarian ,born in Pleven ,35 years old and me and my wife(she is from the Philippines)are planning to buy a house somewhere around Pleven or Veliko Tarnovo.
We use to read My Bulgaria since may be 2 years and I decided to make one step further and register us(my name is Valeri and hers - Beth,so ..Valbeth)
Well,as she doesnt speak bulgarian for her is very interesting to read the opinions and impressions here and to get an idea of what is the life in Bulgaria(village life I have to specify).
Honestly for me is may be even more interesting to read the opinions of foreigners who live in my country ...and may be know it better than me already!
We live in Mallorca since 2005(and before in Madrid),but this winter will visit my birth town - Pleven and the area there,so it will be nice to meet some english speaking people from the region, apart from my family(they dont speak english, although I have to be thankful to them for pushing me to enter and study in the english language school in Pleven :))
The 3 of us(we have a son - 2 years old) plan to go to Bulgaria somewhere in December-January,so if there are "locals" from the area we can meet and exchange impressions!

Thank you Nikki!
Its always nice going home after a long stay somewhere, but this time it should be even better as we are going all of us.
My wife and son have never been to Bg so far,so it will be fun I am sure, although we will only stay for 2-3 weeks this time.
In your profile I read - integrating with the locals - how does it go?
Any bulgarian words or you already speak the language?
As of my parents in Pleven - they dont speak english,my wife doesnt speak bulgarian yet,so yes - it will be...fun this winter. ((

P.S And my son speaks all wrong - spanish,as we live here, bulgarian, cause I try to teach him some simple words and the english of my wife...

Hi Valbeth, it will feel nice to be home again and as for your son, if he carries on learning the three languages he should never be out of work when he grows up. As for your English you write very well.
