VIEWING TRIP - CHEAP PLACES TO STAY NEAR VELIKO TARNOVO?

Postby wildrider » Thu Apr 14, 2011 4:36 pm

Hey everyone, my husband and I are doing our home viewing trip mid August, its a bit far ahead i know but so much to think about, i need to get some organisation - neither of us have even been to Bulgaria before...

Anyway whilst we are scouting houses in the Veliko Tarnovo region does anyone have any suggestions of cheap places to stay? we are on a tight budget, so are even wondering whether its possible to pitch tent or sleep in the car...is this allowed?

Hotels in Bulgaria are pretty cheap, so you should be able to find somewhere to stay even on a limited budget.

Mid August might be a bit warm in Bulgaria for sleeping in your car

Hi wildrider, have a look here:

http://www.mybulgaria.info/modules.php? ... ion+veliko

and here:

http://www.mybulgaria.info/modules.php? ... 68&start=0

They are older topics but should be useful. There will also be other topics discussing accommodation in this area which you can find by playing with different combinations of keywords in the search facilities.

Good luck! Mod 8)

There are several hostels - the Phoenix is very good, or try Low Costel Hostel or the Nomads Hostel.

Hi
We can recommend Trinity Rocks Farm, Near Veliko Tarnovo. It is on the River Yantra. He has acommodation, or you can camp. He is also very helpful whilst you are looking for a property.

Pitch your tent at Camping Veliko Tarnovo (www.campingvelikotarnovo.com)

Not too far from town, excellent facilities, great countryside and lovely people
