When does Sunny Beach 'open'.

Had a good or bad holiday in Bulgaria? Used a good hotel? Then let everyone know! Don't be shy, praise the good and shame the bad.

As previously mentioned the season starts in mid May, when the weather is very unpredictable. There are many others places with similar facilities to SB & GS that you can visit IN SUMMER without drunken hoardes, please dont spoil your own pleasure, try another resort. (I would recommend Burgas/Sarafavo area, but i wont, cos I'd be biased)

May and September are quiet in Sunny beach yet I would recommend June and July for a holiday because the water is warm enough and clear at this time.
Sozopol is perfect - no drunk crowds, lots of beaches near it. It is lovely and defenitely more peaceful and pleasant than Sunny Beach.

If you want a more peaceful holiday then Sunny Beach, would be best to visit the first 3 weeks in June, or from the 5th Sept onwards, although the begining of September things are starting to close down, But again if you want holiday that has everything then the end of June to the end of August you will have that in Sunny Beach

I like to party , but I don't need or want a concrete jungle to it in . A beach and a good sound system will do it for me . Tim .

There is a beach and a very nice one right next to sea gardens and loads of nice eating holes and clubs. Hippy boy please get out now and again and leave the weed alone.

Thanks for the replies. Looks that the start or the end of the season would suit us best. It seems to be a very short season though. How do the businesses survive?

Mick. Thought of Ravda north of Burgas not so hectic but still Ok - look on here The Captain - runs a restaurant there and maybe somewhere to stay.

Hibby boy - Irakali Beach up from Burgas on Varna Road - been there :?: :?: Boooootiful empty - well except for 2 months in summer - campsite and lodgings...a great beach.[/b]
