just been booking our trip to Bg., driving over and flying back, here are some useful sites for booking a ferry. The prices do differ so its worth comparing

Our crossing Dover to Calais for 2 plus car only cost £30, Saver.

N.B. Ferry from Venice to Greece. I chose to collect ticket from Port office at a cost of E10 which was cheapest option. Some show a fuel surcharge.

Tried to book flight back with BA, Sof/Hrow at £80 each but they are asking for a Bg. billing address.

Hi can you give me an idea of the cost of the ferry crossing the only way they will give me a quote is if I give my card details and I don't do that unless I have to. Any other infomation would be great thanks

I spend a lot of time in France and I use Norfolkline in the main, cheapest at the moment and if you bulk book in January you can get some cracking deals.

We are driving to Bansko in January and would like to go via Italy and Greece. I have had a look at the prices and it seems like a crossing with a car is going to cost at least £190. Are these the prices that all of you guys have paid or do they tend to drop the prices on a last minute deal kind of thing?

we have only done this route once (return trip) and it was quite expensive, I priced it in October and it was over £500, I dont think they get cheaper, probably the opposite

I second the above post. LD Lines are the cheapest and easiest if you are driving a large van. You can book a crossing for a van online. With most other companies this is not possible.


The LD Lines ferry to Boulogne has now stopped running. On my last crossing I used www.aferry.co.uk and followed their link to the Seafrance ferry company. This way I was able to get a reasonably cheap online booking with Seafrance from Calais to Dover for my large van.
