Hi

I have just been emailed this but have no other info:

Exciting news for Bulgaria as Ryan Air has applied to fly to Plovdiv, geographically the most central airport, which will allow very low cost access for all. In addition, XL Airways are now offering direct bookings for flights to Bourgas from their website; prices are as low as £110 return. go to www.xl.com

I will try to find out more and post it on the forum.

XL flights can be booked online for durations of up to 4 weeks; they fly direct to Bourgas from Manchester and Gatwick

XL are concerned (yes, they do have Monday flights from Gatwick from mid-May), although I have no direct experience with them (hmmm...so why am I interfering), in the past when I have investigated them, they have appeared to have had the worst record of any of the cheap airlines

A company called New State, they supply info on whats happening in and around Bulgaria. I have emailed them as to where this info has come from but have not had a reply as yet. If true I can only assume the Ryanair would have to apply first and then it would be put on their web site
