Hi, All you need to get 3rd party insurance in bulgaria is your car documents (log book) and your ID.
for standard 5 door car roughly 150leva

Hi Griswald, Plenty of companys offer short term insurance for travelling across europe. I used autohome got 2 weeks insurance off them which included breakdown cover etc.

thanks for that info,phoned my insurance co they told me cant use my insurance to drive into bulgaria,as there not in the ecu,its like hey dont you ever upgrade your systems,they joined 2007,

Just arranged vehicle insurance through National Farmers Union, Full European cover for 11 mths a year as long as you have a UK address. They even covered our SWB 120 transit after checking with the underwriters, This was after spending 3 hours to various companys passing us onto commercial insurance sites, which wouldnt cover us for more than 30 days anyway
