Yes same price as petrol although to have a vehicle converted costs as little as €500 where as I paid £1500 for a conversion in the UK. I am told the conversions in Bulgaria are way inferior to Uk based conversions.

Are you saying that the system is inferior to the Uk , or the set up.
Is there a specialist LPG garage in the Varna area .????.

My car has a bulgarian conversion we have been driving it full time for the last 12 months , no problems, not sure how long it has been fitted to the vehicle but proberbly many years. I do not think the conversion is better or worse than any other country.

we had our uk vehicle converted in Sofia - no way is it inferior - is was a specialist garage and the equipment was from the Netherlands - the work was overseen by a Dutch guy but done by a young bulgarian who was very thorough , and the total cost was 1800 leva - the car was converted about 18months ago and has been running efficiently ever since!

Hi, diga45. Are you saying that petrol is the same price as gas. Or have i got this wrong. If correct, could you tell me where you buy your petrol.

Clearly LPG is vitually half the price of petrol (benzine) which is 1.9 lev approx.

there are Gasstanzia all over the place much more common than in the UK. As much for cooking as for driving, but LPG conversion is very common due to not being able to afford the higher price of petrol. There is also the compressed natrual gas alternative which a lot of taxis use but those stations are quite few and the conversion costs more. Once done the CNG gas is very cheap.
