Hi,

While in metro in bourgas last week i noticed they had a garmin sat nav system for bulgaria for sale in the metro mail. it was a self contained unit similar to a tomtom one. when i find the copy of metro mail i brought back i will post more info, but at least it means that current maps must exist.

Regards,

Hi

if you connect your pda to a computer using activesync you should be able to copy any file stored on a memory card to your pc & then back to a blank memory card.

Hi,
The Garmin Nuvi 660 with the V9 download has the Eastern Europe maps included, I used it on my last trip when I took my Niva over. But I should say that Tophol was excellent as I followed her from Austria to Romania, although I used the Sat Nav to find the hotel that 7 red was meeting us at. I highly recommend it.

pda = Personal Digital Assistant - or a mini hand-held computer. You know, the sort that high-powered executives carry around with them to look important!!!

Hi there.

its a personal data assistant, I have an HP1940.

it can store lots of contacts, uses basic notes and some run on a windows based system...if you use an extra storage card you can run something like tomtom on it...mine also has blue tooth so it talks to my gps receiver.
I find it better to travel with because its not fixed to the car, so ideal when you hire cars etc, or travel with someone who don't own their own..

try to goggle pda, should throw up more info, some phones now come with all this included so do a little more investigation you may find something that suits.
