The instructions on how to fill it in and stick it onto the window are written on it. In English. They do seem to be more serious about filling in the registration details on the receipt this year than in previous years.

Its a Bulgarian thing...... Its inbred from years of oppression Bulgarians do not give any secondary information. You ask for a vignette they give you a vignette job done

It was published on BTV news in December and I got a new one a week ago after losing my windscreen, issued at the licence office with proof of purchase, bar code portion issued with the Vignette and the portion of windscreen with old one on it.

There is also a 40 lev fine for leaving the old Vignette on the windscreen.

Too late for us as it is already stuck on the windscreen.
Wonder how many other people have done this without looking as this is the first year it has been like this?
Now they said that you are not supposed to write in your registration number where it says "registration number".
After umpteen hours/ days/ weeks of saying the opposite. Mad.

We bought our vignette from the garage in our local town last week...and the lady that sold it to us put our car registration number on it. But friends, who bought theirs in the same garage today, have not had their reg number put on and weren't told to put it on either!!!!!!!!

I predict a bonanza in fines for the police.

If the vignette is stuck to the windscreen and you wish to remove it to enter the Registration number, then use and hair drier and gentle peel the vignette off as the glue heats up.

The design of the vignette has changed, the hairdryer trick worked for the old style, I am not so sure it will work on the new design. Be careful and let us know how you get on.

A strange co-incidence I am sure but I was in the nearest petrol station to the big car sales room in Dupnitza yesterday, the one where everyone calls in to get their vignettes. There was an odd green plastic thing on the accessories shelf, and when I looked at it, it turned out to be a niftly little holder labeled in Bulgarian 'for your vignette'.
