tonyt ur quite right, what i meant was that airBG have dropped the winter service, so basically airBG operates seasonally only, direct london-varna, so wizz still remains the only year round carrier direct london-varna

spantrout, at the moment wizzair are showing nothing for next season for Luton to Varna and by the way have you noticed the last two Fridays flights (air bg) from Gatwick have been operated by Hemus Air. Tonyt

i only looked at gatwick or heathrow for air bg, as that is the only 2 london options on the air bg website, and the gatwick route came up "this is a seasonal route" apr 22 - oct 15 or thereabouts!!!!

never looked at wizzair, but assuming they work 6 mths ahead that only takes u upto april for flights.

spantrout, sorry to say theory is wrong. This time last year British Airways puled the plug on their flights to Varna and we were able to book Wizzair immediately. I have e-mailed wizz twice now asking for release dates, but never a reply. cheers. Tonyt

doesn't that suggest they may be rethinking the value of the route?, if they knew what was going on they would have published routes, maybe they are on the verge of pulling the pin also, which makes sense if no other carrier can make money from the route!

Just had a look at the wizzair website and it looks like Varna is back on the map again for next spring to London. They've posted a schedule although haven't uploaded fares yet

Beware!! Be careful they don`t release the flights to Varna at the highest release date prices ever and then less than a week later offer exclusive club members a special `one day only` 20% off!! Which is what happened with the Bourgas schedule last week..................`kin priceless!!

also looking at flights for next year ,with wizz luton to varna £67 return will be about £140
not bad may go up may come down,
but still have to travel from the north down to luton,
have to go out in march to do tax returns not sure wether to book or not,
had a look at flights to bourgus and they are £50 each way why is it more to varna,
