Hi All,
Does anyone know how much it cost to start a Electricity Account.I have been
quoted 240 euros and I am in a complex, does that mean that everybody pays
the same if so,the developer is making a lot of money with 300 apartments.

Hi,
I just went into my Society General bank with Electricity and water numbers and asked to pay them by direct debit...No problem bank set up standing order and I had to pay 110 levas to have my water account changed to my name.
When I was over in june a big van appeared out cam 2 men and a woman they knocked at the gate ... The woman had a copy book thing and told me I owed 77 levas I dont know where our water meter is I dont know where they got the figure 77 levas from???
But I just told them I paid through my bank they just stared at me had very little English...and then went off...so I dont know if they were legit or not..

Hi Griswalds,
strange your solicitor is always busy when you call
The only bills we pay are
water
electric
annual property/refuse tax
annual tax returns
maybe you are paying for a check on your property also?
If you are not there much, your water and electric will be nothing apart from the time you are there.
Have you asked your solicitor for accounts detailing what has been paid?
Nikki

Your water meter should be located somewhere in your garden if you have outside washbasin in the garden it is usually located about that area, if you dont have a meter you will need to get one fitted which the water authority will do for you,

Hi Griswalds,
if you're not there your water will be nil, and negligible when you are, we pay about 7/8 leva per month apart from when we filled the pool which added anther 15 leva to the bill.
As Oldtimer says the meter will most likely be in your garden somewhere.
Good luck
Nikki

Our water meter is in the cellar. Try there if you have one.

I think i know where it is now, there's a metal plate next to our out side sink, the old man we bought the house from turned the water on for us under the metal plate. thanks all.
