A very general comment about property Scot,

People have made money and there are still opportunities to do so

However there are areas which are in decline, and it was primarily those areas where people have not made money

BG is streamlining its pattern of settlements for various reasons but some are actually steady or on the up, for examples I would say VT was steady and Burgas and Stara Zagora on the up, whilst some places have had catastrophic decline like Silistra

Maybe the secret is to identify the upcoming areas

SID, has told me that there is nowhere in BG to make money on property its a question of supply and demand but this might change with the influx of Syrians.

I would never buy a house as an investment. A house is a place to live in.

SID says that people who buy houses or flats for investment do not want to live in them its a long term investment.

There are still plenty of Brits looking to buy and live here, there's also been a run of Turkish expats buy this year due to restrictions on their residency.
Bulgarians are also starting to buy in the villages as close to towns as possible.

I had come across the cases of people leaving Turkey because of new restrictions there. Much as I love Istanbul, there is no way that I would choose to live in Turkey !

That's just because you didn't get a place in the UK 40 years ago. You'd be laughing now... I remember being in South London in the early 90s laughing at the fools paying 80 grand for a flat on Clapham Common.

I laughed at the offer to buy a house in Rose Street, Edinburgh for £29,000 in 1971.

Houses are for living in ! I will leave Mat to his unsavoury speculation in property, the slave trade, tobacco, liquor and armaments.
