The same thing happened to us re the danuk. Ours was registered at the address of our then solicitor and we heard nothing from the police. After 5 years we found out about it from a neighbour and went to the office in VT. We had to pay 5 years plus fines. Luckily the danuk on the car wasn't too bad. We have now been to a notary to find out the procedure and hopefully the car will be sold in May. You really do live and learn here. We learned how to deal with deaths last year and have just experienced the customs office. Another bureaucratic nightmare.
