Advance Bookings 2011 - better / worse / same?

Postby houseman » Wed Feb 16, 2011 5:29 pm

I was wondering how people are finding the early signs of bookings for the summer season this year. Last year, many including me found things a bit sluggish at first but it picked up just in time and ended well.
I thought we might have a Poll.

P.S. Please base your votes on actual bookings, not just enquiries. Thanks. :D

Like most things the costs are increasing slowly and we can only guess what the increases will be like if Bulgaria ever changes to the euro.

Advance Bookings

Postby Buzzard » Thu Feb 17, 2011 10:05 am

Hi

We have taken more advance bookings this year than in previous years, we normally have enquiries from March onwards but had confirmed bookings before Christmas.

Long may it continue.

We had plenty of enquiries around Christmas, but that's all they were. The real biz came fairly recently.

VERY GOOD FOR 2011

Postby gordonroy43 » Sat Feb 19, 2011 2:15 pm

We have had a number after our ST VLAS apartment in TRIUMPH from the UK and one family from RUSSIA wishing to rent from the 1st MAY to 15th OCT so far.

So answer is VERY GOOD for 2011.

:D

A booking is a booking paid for IMHO

polls like this are never accurate as generally the only optimistic people reply or post.
If the numbers in borovets this year are anything to go by, less people are going. Which is no suprise considering the financial climate.

Right now there are as many saying it's worse as those saying it's better plus those saying it's the same. So the pessimists are keeping their ends up! :)
The voting is anonymous - also you don't have to leave a message. So people should feel they can vote how they like.

I have much more early bookings / deposits paid this year- most of tourists are Russians. The bookings are for 4-6 weeks, i hope the season will be very good.
