A slightly odd one, this, but we have a house in Gurkovo, nr Balchik, that we've been renovating for about 18 months now.
The work is pretty much finished, and the plan is to furnish it and then rent it out - in particular to golfers attracted by BlackSeaRama etc just up the road. Longer-term (or shorter if the right offer comes along!) we'll be looking to sell the property for around 40,000 Euros
However, with various things in the UK, we've run out of cash to get the property fully furnished and kitted out for the rental market - probably a further £5000 required which we just don't have at present.
Our thought was essentially to sell a share in the house for £5k, for which the investor will receive a percentage of the ongoing rental income, plus a percentage of the sale price. And, of course, a holiday home for their own use!
What do people think of this idea? Obviously, we'll offer it to friends in the UK, but also wondered whether anyone had been through anything similar and perhaps found a partner in Bulgaria? Or of course, if anyone wants to take us up on the offer, we'll be listening!!
Just interested to get the Forum's viewpoint.
