Sorry, I thought that the original reference to “dog hotel” alluded to hotels that took dogs as distinct from kennels where you would leave them behind.
Having reread spiralbg’s post I guess it is a bit ambiguous. However, if the Bulgarians choose to call them (kennels) hotels (or use a word that implies hotels; whether they do or not, I don’t care) then far be it from anyone else to deny them that right. Anyway, most definitions for “hotel” preclude the use of the word “human” or “people” and merely refer to, e.g. “a commercially run establishment providing lodging and usually meals for guests”. I think that the word “guest” is sufficiently vague to encompass any lifeform, including mould.
As far as a business being like “gamboling on the horses” is concerned, I guess it depends how fast it takes off.
