Hi Liliana

you can go and close the bank account and take the money. Using a copy of the court decision and Bulstat or if it is registered in the Trade register just need to take the document from them in with the co. stamp.

As long as the company formation process is complete.

The 'company' account has been closed since 2006 six months after it was opened for a house purchase only.

I remember you needed 5,000 leva to open your account but in accordance with a 'loophole' it was returned to you shortly after...

Another can of worms here I suppose? :?

Hi there

Can anyone recommend someone who can set up a Bulgarian company for us without us having to go over to Bulgaria? So difficult to find someone you can trust and is charging extortionate prices. Anybody recommend someone they have used themselves?

Cheers

If the company is being formed to buy land I suggest you do not set it up until you are sure you are buying.

Lawfirm Dobreva and Boneva in varna city centre could do this for you, efficient, reliable and english speaking (probably not the cheapest though), they are recommended on the website of the British Embassy in Sofia. Not sure if you would need to be present or not, signatures required etc etc.

I have made my research on the subject, it costs between 500-1200 GBP to set up a company. The problem is there are a lot of documents to be composed and translated and some of them need Apostille if you can't be present.

Last time I saw, setting up a BG company even from the UK was less than 300lvs... £500-£1200 is rather excessive ?
